Rainy Day

After rain, rain, and MORE RAIN, I decided to bring out some sun....at least some sun-flowers. This is one in a series entitled Suns and Globes. They're all based on some sketches I did of these red orange to red to yellow sunflowers and globe amaranths. I love the vibrant colors in the flowers and thought it was only fitting for such 'fireballs' to have their own solar system of 'globes'. This watercolor is 24"x24" and is currently hanging at the Carriage House Gallery. Hope it brings some sunshine to your day.

I love your still life stuff, especially these flowers. No rain here in washington. At the orcas ferry dock waiting on our trip back to anacortes, then on to lake ozette for camping tonight. Orcas was awesome. Will blog post tonight the updates

Hey Linda, this painting is beautiful! I just love the vibrant colors. It reminds me so much of the first painting we purchased from you. I guess you guys have had "more" rain from the hurricane! We didn't get much at all in N. Austin. Hope all is well.
